A fire tore through the outdoor play area of Tot Spot Academy on Sunday morning, leaving the daycare’s playground destroyed.
Thick black smoke poured from the ground-level yard at 25 Ryan Crescent beginning shortly after 10 a.m.
The blaze quickly consumed a 10-by-10-foot section of the play space. Its unclear if the daycare or the apartment building above it, had any damage.
It’s believed the fire started from a discarded cigarette near the fence line.
