The Canadian Men’s National Soccer Team will continue its ‘Road to 2026’ with an international friendly match against Uzbekistan as part of its preparations for FIFA World Cup 26™.
“Edmonton has one of the most passionate soccer communities in the country, and we are thrilled to welcome the Canadian Men’s National Team and Team Uzbekistan to our city for this exciting international friendly on the Road to 2026,” said Mayor Andrew Knack. “Hosting a world-class event like this at Commonwealth Stadium showcases Edmonton’s ability to deliver major sporting events and creates an incredible experience for fans from across our city, province and beyond.”
All guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for security screening at Commonwealth Stadium. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the match begins at 7 p.m.
Guests are also invited to attend the free pre-game fan fest in Lot A from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Activities include face painting, an on-site DJ for dancing, a photo booth, giant playing cards and more.
Prizes from the Canadian Finals Rodeo, KDays and Farmfair International will be up for grabs and merchandise will be available for purchase.
