On May 26, the 7th annual Metro Athletics Unified Jamboree took place at Jasper Place High School with more than 1,000 athletes from 37 schools with and without intellectual disabilities in Edmonton and the surrounding area.
The event was about building friendships, fostering belonging and creating a community where every student feeling valued and included.
There was a parade, three sporting events (bean bag toss, three-on-three basketball and bocce ball), face painting, crafts, a science station and dance.
