The Fort Edmonton District Office of the Métis Nation Within Alberta (MNA) is inviting community members to its Indigenous Craft and Bake Sale happening May 23 and 24 at 11728 95 Street in Edmonton, featuring handmade crafts, baked goods, food truck, door prizes and local vendors.
Joseph René de Meulles, Fort Edmonton Métis District Captain, tells the Raven Radio Network the event began from a Métis citizen’s suggestion and has since grown into a showcase for local artisans selling handcrafted items rooted in Métis culture.
de Meulles adds that since their previous event, the Indigenous Craft and Bake sale is starting to grow in size, with plans to host future Craft and Bake Sales at their district office in both an indoor and outdoor event.
