Grade 1 students joined the City of Edmonton at Borden Park on Friday morning to celebrate Arbor Day through interactive activities focused on the importance of maintaining a healthy and sustainable urban forest. The event featured tree climbing, pruning chipping and educational activities alongside city staff and guest speakers.
Jessica McBride, Root for Trees Program Lead spoke with the Raven Radio Network on the history of Arbor Day within Edmonton, with 15,000 seedlings being distributed to grade one students across various schools within the city.
