The third Monday in January, often called Blue Monday, is a challenging time for many, marked by cold weather, post-holiday financial stress, and limited sunlight.
To help beat the winter blues, the City of Fort Saskatchewan’s Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is thrilled to present once again an evening of laughter and connection with the ‘Blue Monday Comedy’ Special on January 20.
Amber Grant, Diversity Inclusion and Community Development Coordinator at the City of Fort Saskatchewan spoke with 89.3 The Raven on her excitement about their third annual event since its popularity grew with stellar comedians to offer in this year’s special.
Grant adds that the ‘Blue Monday Comedy’ Special is a time for the community to make a connection and share laughter in a space created for the blues to go away.
Grant is hopeful that the low price of the tickets to enjoy the performances by 5 comedians allow attendees to enjoy the show with laughs and to be surrounded by community support for mental health.
Grant highlights the five comedians in the ‘Blue Monday Comedy’ Special that features the headliner Stirling Scott, Kelly Taylor, and Art Bellrose, a Metis local from Edmonton, Jules Balluffi and Emcee Sean Lecomber.
