Windspeaker Radio Network is looking for an On Air Host / Community News Reporter, who will be based in our Edmonton headquarters.

• Title: On Air Personality / Community News Reporter
• Location: Edmonton, but travel may be required throughout Alberta
• Term: Permanent Full Time Position
• Start Date:  January 13, 2025
• Report to the Director of Radio, Windspeaker Media
• Expected working hours: Monday to Friday generally, though coverage over the weekend or after hours may be required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience On Air
• Knowledge of Indigenous people in Alberta, communities, culture, issues and concerns, are an asset.
• Excellent radio, interview and communication skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong people skills: You are a great listener, speaker and interviewer
• Strong skills in both a team setting and with independent work
• Experience with Wide Orbit, Voxpro & Adobe Audition are an asset
• Host on location remotes and events for all Windspeaker Radio Network stations
• Have a strong love (and Knowledge) for Country music and Rock
• Social media savvy
• Valid Class 5 License w/ Clean Abstract
• Other requirements as directed by Director of Radio
