On December 20th, the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton is gearing up to distribute over 1,800 Hampers and over 10 thousand gift cards to Edmontonians in time for the holidays at the St. Francis of Assi Elementary School Gymnasium.
Adam Zawadiuk, executive director of the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton spoke with 89.3 The Raven and say’s that is a community effort to make this event happen every year!
Zawadiuk speaks on the Edmonton Oilers reaching out to volunteers by sending Alumni to package the hampers for the Christmas Bureau.
With Canada Post strike ending and the shipment of mail resuming, Zawadiuk adds that the physical gift cards will be delivered late by Canada Post, however the digital gift cards will be sent to recipients on December 20.
Craig McTavish, Edmonton Oilers Alumni spoke with CFWE, saying it’s always a great feeling to give back to the community.
