The Edmonton Oilers will look to maintain their hot streak when one of the leagues best in Tampa Bay comes into town. Edmonton won’t get much of a break either with games against the white hot Minnesota Wild and Vegas Golden Knights to follow, a significant test for the group who just went to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Following a tough start to the season, Edmonton has found it’s groove with a 10-5-1 record after going .500 in October.
Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch told media after practice Monday that these games should give the Oilers a good idea how they compare to other top teams.
Heading into Tuesday’s game, the Oilers have gone 5-1 over their last two weeks. Captain Connor McDavid said the Oilers have been able to embrace different roles throughout this stretch, and echo’d his coaches statement surrounding this next stretch of games.
Edmonton will be hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at 7pm, will travel to Minnesota for a matchup against the Wild Thursday night at 6:30pm before coming home for a Saturday matinee against the Vegas Golden Knights at 2:00pm.
