One man is facing charges after a 15-year-old was shot on Louis Bull First Nation late last week .
RCMP received a report of a shooting outside a home on Aug. 7, according to a news release.
Upon arrival, Mounties found a 15-year-old with gunshot injuries and was immediately flown to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries according to RCMP.
A search warrant was executed at a Sherwood Park hotel room, which resulted in the arrest of the man. During the arrest a semi-automatic rifle was located.
Kashton Fearious Bull (24), has been charged with:
- Attempted murder;
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order;
- Weapons offences (x4).
Bull has been taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for Aug. 22, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin.
“We are thankful to the members of the public who came forward and provided crucial information that allowed us to quickly identify and locate this suspect,” says Staff Sergeant Richard Mckay of the Maskwacis RCMP, “bravely working together is the only way we can put an end to senseless violence.”
