Alberta RCMP have charged three people after crews found nearly $500K worth of stolen property.
Earlier in April, the RCMP Crime Reduction Team was brought in to help the Thorsby and Brenton RCMP teams after a thief shot at a resident an attempted break in near Thorsby.
RCMP received two warrants, one for a property in Breton and one for Parkland County. Prior to the warrants, RCMP received a tip about a break and enter in Rimbey. It was believed the suspects involved in the break in were seen returning to the Brenton property.
Following the search warrant, two people were arrested, crews found a handgun, 682 gram of methamphetamine, and 70 grams of cocaine, as well as items that were stolen during the Rimbey break-and-enter.
- A 38-year-old Alder Flats, Alta., resident has been charged with 64 offences in the case.
- A 37-year-old Alder Flats resident has been charged with 14 counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000.
- A 41-year-old Alder Flats resident has been charged with break-and-enter, theft of a firearm, and theft of a motor vehicle.
