A Fort McMurray man allegedly linked to an arson of the Supplement King store in Eagle Ridge can now be named.
45 year old Michael Hammond was arrested on Aug. 6 in connection with the June 23 fire at the store’s Eagle Ridge location.
Hammond has been charged with arson and breaking and entering.
Hammond was arrested on August 6 but could not be named until the charges were sworn.
Police are investigating at least six fires at the Supplement King stores in Fort McMurray. Investigators have not yet publicly commented on a motive.
Hammond is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Fort McMurray on Aug. 30.
