On Wednesday afternoon, Alberta Wildfire crews responded to a wildfire 40 kilometres north of Fort McMurray.
The fire is near Birch Mountain and south of Aostra Road, and is currently one hectare in size.
The fire was discovered on Wednesday and is currently classified as out of control.
Alberta Wildfire says two firefighting crews and four helicopters are working the wildfire.
According to Alberta Wildfire, there are 43 active fires burning in the province.
