- Title: News Reporter
- Location: Edmonton, but travel will be required throughout Alberta
- Term: Permanent Full Time Position
- Report to the Director of Radio, Windspeaker Media
Job Requirements
– Report live, breaking news stories as they occur in our communities.
– Source and write local news stories through established contacts and all available sources.
– Attend local meetings including Indigenous communities, municipal districts, court cases, etc. and write local news stories from the information presented at the meetings.

-reporting in the field as required
– Re-write appropriate regional, national news that is relevant to our local audience.
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Have newsroom experience or applicable broadcast education
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong on-air delivery
Self starter
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment both individually and with a team
A valid driver’s license
Working familiarity with Adobe Audition & Wide Orbit are assets
Ability to use social media (X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
