Westerner Days 2024
Westerner Days is back from July 17-21, and this year’s theme, “Do it for the Memories,” aims to make it an unforgettable experience for families and friends.
Main concert acts will perform at The District along with over 20 other performers. Additionally, daily admission to the festival will now also include access to the entertainment.
Watch for the CFWE, 89.3 the Raven Cruiser in the Westerner Days Parade on July 17.
Other new attractions at this year’s midway include larger rides and motocross events. Ride All Day passes can be purchased at central Alberta Co-op stores and gas bar locations.
Residents can also explore the Central Alberta Pavilion which features an indoor maze that highlights the vibrant history of Westerner Park and Westerner Days, complemented by footage from RDTV. The pavilion aims to remind residents of our interconnected regional identity.
Returning favorites include Kidventure, hosted in the air-conditioned Parkland Pavilion, where children 12 and under can play, explore, and shop while enjoying free shows featuring clowns, hoola hoopers, and more. The Market will also be back with over 60 vendors, and Extreme Dogs show will return as well.
Westerner Days will also feature two pavilions dedicated to agriculture. At Agventure, guests can dive into the world of agriculture with large machines, educational presentations, and lively animal exhibits. This interactive area aims to bring the farm experience to life and celebrate Central Alberta’s agricultural spirit.
The North American Pony Chuckwagon and Chariot Races will also return, starting every day starting at 5:00 p.m. The days will close with evening fireworks.
