Alberta Health Minister Adriana LaGrange spoke at a press conference this afternoon along side EMS and paramedic representatives following the announcement of millions of additional dollars being added to support key areas.
LaGrange announced funding designed to lower wait times as well as additional support for EMS workers and also to support rural EMS calls.
Tim Ford, Registrar of the College of Paramedics in Alberta spoke about the benefits of these much needed supports.
In January, the Alberta Medical Association suggested the province declare a health-care crisis due to increasing pressures on emergency rooms and ambulance wait times to name a few items.
