As the winter months come to an end, the Lac La Biche farmers market is preparing for their opening weekend on March 22nd.
A tradition running on 51 years in the community, the weekly market will run from 3:00pm-5:30pm on Friday’s at the Lakeland Agricom. With a variety of booths ranging from fresh produce, baked goods and homemade crafts, there’s a little something for everyone.
Bev Tkachuk is the manager of the Lac La Biche Farmers Market and says being one of the people to carry this tradition for more than 50 years has been a blessing.
When asked about her favorite things about the market, Tkachuck had a very difficult time picking just one thing.
The market will open on March 22nd, they’ll remain open on Good Friday with an Easter party nextdoor for the families to enjoy their long weekend.
