The Edmonton Elks announced their 2023 team awards this week as the CFL announced the best from across the league.
QB Tre Ford was named most outstanding player, making this the first Canadian to receive this title since Blake Marshall in 1991. In addition to the award, Ford earned “unanimous selection”.
Tre Ford has only been in Edmonton for two seasons, his impact has been felt and recognized from the league. Ford was recognized as player of the month on the CFL Honour Roll All-August team and was named player of the week for week 11 of the season after Ford led the Elks to the first victory of the season.
The CFL awards will be held at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls on November 16th
