A five year old boy who disappeared from Frog Lake First Nation was found Tuesday evening, nearly 28 hours after he disappeared.
More than 500 people, including RCMP, volunteers, including many from Onion Lake Cree Nation, searched about 25 square miles of the First Nation.
The youngster was last seen at his home at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, and was found about four miles southeast of his home.
One of the searchers, Vanessa Ness posted on social media, “Hearing the yell that he was found was one of the most intense, emotional, relieving moments I have ever experienced! He won’t have another dark night alone because of some very great people who got out there to look.”
In a statement, RCMP said they would like to thank the public for their outpouring of support and hours spent searching, the media for spreading the word, and the Edmonton Police Service for their assistance”
