West Edmonton Mall was locked down on Monday evening after multiple reports of gunshots.
EPS said three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries, but non life threatening injuries in the wake of what they believe was a targeted shooting.
Just before 10 p.m. EPS confirmed that the lockdown was being lifted. It had been asking all pedestrians and drivers of vehicles to stay away from the mall located on 24 square blocks between 170 and 178 streets and 87 and 90 avenues.
Earlier video available online showed EPS tactical moving into the mall, while a PA system warned mall goers to seek shelter.
