Connor McDavid had two assists, and Tristan Jarry made 24 stops as the Edmonton Oilers beat the Calgary Flames 4-0 on Wednesday night, snapping a two-game losing streak. The win for the Oilers also put a halt to the Calgary Flames four game winning streak.
Mathieu Joseph, Mattias Ekholm, Kasperi Kapanen and Alex Formenton all scored for the Oilers in the win.
Edmonton finished up its five-game road trip with a 3-1-1 record.
“We just didn’t like the Toronto game. Every other game was ok,” said captain Connor McDavid.
“So there was lots to like from the homestand. Lots to build on too, as we continue to try and be better day in and day out.”
The Oilers and Flames will meet three more times this year: March 3rd and 23rd in Calgary and then one final time in Edmonton on April 5th.
Edmonton will now get set to start a three-game road trip starting against the New York Islanders on Saturday, while Calgary will return home to take on the Seattle Kraken on Friday.
