Mâmâwi-Wîcihitowin’s Indigenous Entrepreneur Conference, presented by Indigenous Tourism of Alberta, Community Futures, Lakes of the North and Sucker Creek First Nation will bring together Indigenous business leaders and entrepreneurs at Northern Lakes College on October 22. Featuring award-winning entrepreneur Greg Hopf and fellow industry leaders, the event will celebrate Indigenous entrepreneurship, share knowledge, and inspire business growth through Indigenous Tourism.
Renee Fehr, Development Specialist with Indigenous Tourism of Alberta, spoke with CFWE on the conference as it offers Indigenous entrepreneurs an opportunity to expand their knowledge and network with fellow business owners.
Fehr says the event brings Indigenous entrepreneurs together under one roof, while interest within the province for Indigenous tourism continues to grow.
