The Wood Buffalo RCMP is inviting residents to its Open House September 19th. Visitors can meet local officers, explore police vehicles and equipment, and learn about specialized RCMP units.
Sabrina Clayton, Public Information Officer with Wood Buffalo RCMP, tells the Raven that opening their doors to the public gives community members within Wood Buffalo the opportunity to meet the people behind the uniforms, get up close with RCMP k-9’s and puppies, and to learn more about career and recruitment opportunities.
Clayton says the officers wearing the uniforms are also community members within Fort McMurray, adding that community members visiting the open house are able to ask questions and to gain a better understanding of the work that officers do within the community of Wood Buffalo.
