The 19th Annual Ride for Dad kicks off June 13th at 7:30 a.m. at Blackjacks Roadhouse, uniting riders to raise awareness and support for prostate cancer research and men’s health initiatives.
Nelson Santos, Co-Chair of the Princess Auto Ride for Dad Edmonton, tells the Raven Radio Network the event aims to build excitement with the goal to raise $100,000 dollars for prostate cancer awareness and research.
Funds raised by the Edmonton Ride for Dad Chapter stay in the Edmonton area with research dollars being utilized by Dr. John Lewis and his team of researchers at the University of Alberta, with proceeds raised from the annual Ride for Dad event every June are invested in groundbreaking cancer research and life-saving public awareness campaigns about the importance of how early detection of this disease saves lives.
