Shelter in place lifted in St. Albert, suspect not located

St. Albert RCMP have lifted a shelter in place that was ordered Sunday afternoon, although the suspect still hasn’t been located.

At 2:50 p.m. RCMP issued the order for residents in the Riverside neighbourhood, as officers were searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery.

Cpl. Gina Slaney with the RCMP said the initial offence occurred in Edmonton, and the suspect was last seen leaving a vehicle in the Riverside neighbourhood of St. Albert. The investigation is continuing.
