On May 5, Red Dress Day is a national day of awareness and remembrance for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls, with many walks, workshops and gathering happening across the province of Alberta and Canada.
City of Edmonton Mayor Andrew Knack spoke with Raven Radio Network on acknowledging Red Dress Day, urging the community to stand in solidarity with families of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited people, while continuing to raise awareness and push for meaningful change.
