The Alberta RCMP, Indigenous Samson Chief, and the Alberta Crime Stoppers launched today a new Rural Sign Campaign, with unveiling the first sign in Maskwacis.
This new campaign started 3 months ago by Constable Catlin Chiasson.
Constable Catlin Chiasson says, “He felt this new initiative was needed in Maskwacis and surrounding area by making the community feel safer”.
Programs like the Rural Sign Campaign empower residents to take an active role in crime prevention, ensuring that “what they see”, “what they hear” and “what they know” can be shared through anonymous tips.
