The Prostate Cancer Centre in Calgary has launched a comprehensive bladder cancer treatment program, expanding its clinical services to address a major gap in patient care for Southern Albertans.
Jeff Davidson, CEO of the Prostate Cancer Centre, tells Raven Radio Network the pilot program – is a first of its kind – that will support southern Albertans living with bladder cancer, the fifth most common cancer diagnosis in the country, by helping guide patients through treatment planning and care.
Davidson speaks on the centre in Calgary with specialized urologists on site to provide the best care in dealing with bladder cancer.
Davidson adds that as bladder cancer cases continue to rise, the program also aims to guide patients through their stages of treatment and reassure patients that they still have options available, even when they feel they do not.
