A Decolonizing Psychology Panel was held on April 1 at Concordia University’s Braaksma Hall, exploring Indigenous perspectives and culturally grounded approaches to mental health.
Brooke Palmer, a psychology student and co-organizer of the panel at Concordia University, tells the Raven Radio Network it’s exciting to bring Indigenous perspectives on psychology and understanding to students.
Maranda Day, co-organizer of the panel and psychology student at Concordia University, highlights the physical, spiritual, and emotional aspects of mental health, adding that integrating Indigenous culture brings the whole person into healing.
