The Hugh Sutherland School Enhancement Foundation is teaming up with Mountain View Food Bank for a Jail and Bail food drive at the Carstairs Community Hall on March 14 from 12-6 pm.
Melanie Bosomworth, a Grade eight teacher at Hugh Sutherland School tells Raven Radio Network she is one of the six participants in the jail-and-bail food drive “locked up”, raising non perishable food donations for her bail while students enjoy seeing their teacher behind bars for a good cause.
Bosomworth says the six participants, representing different roles within the community, are taking part in the food drive as a way to give back and to support local families that access the Mountain View Food Bank.
