The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a fatal, single-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday morning in southeast Edmonton.
According to EPS, a 2023 Tesla carrying six adults was travelling eastbound on Ellerslie Road at very high speeds around 1 a.m. The vehicle lost control, rolling several times off the road.
Two males and one female were pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics treated and transported two additional male passengers to hospital in critical condition, as well as a female whose condition is described as serious but stable.
Investigators believe speed to be a significant factor in the collision.
EPS Major Collision Investigations Section has since taken over the investigation.
