ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit has laid an additional 86 charges against a Leduc man arrested for alleged luring and making child sexual abuse material earlier this year.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) arrested Campbell Fergusson, 49, on June 26, 2025 during a search warrant.
ICE began its investigation after a report was made through Cybertip and identified six victims linked to Fergusson and believed there to be more.
With additional information provided by the public and evidence collected during a forensic examination, ICE was able to identify an additional 23 victims, most young teen girls who lived in the Leduc area a press release said.
“I cannot begin to thank these young girls for their bravery in coming forward. Their courage has made a significant difference in this investigation and their information is what has helped keep him detained,” said Staff Sgt. Alison Church, ALERT ICE.
On October 14, 2025, Fergusson was charged with the following:
- Luring a child x23;
- Communication for the purpose under 18 x20;
- Make child pornography x18
- Possess child pornography x9;
- Making sexually explicit material available to a child x2;
- Sexual assault x4;
- Sexual interference x7;
- Extortion;
- Choking while committing a sexual assault; and
- Disguise with intent.
In total, Fergusson faces a total of 113 charges.
“Our investigation still is not over. We believe there are more young girls who were involved with Mr. Fergusson and we want to encourage them to come forward. Supports through partners like Zebra Child and Youth Advocacy Centre are available for anyone who does come forward,” Church said.
Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact local police or Crime Stoppers.
