Sparrow Blue was formed in St. Albert, AB, Canada with members Des Parks (vocals), Jon Dombroski (guitar), Liam Holm (drums), Russell McCann (percussion), Chad Plamondon (guitar) and Caden Doyle (bass).
The band is inspired by the old school roots of Rock & Roll, and Sparrow Blue has developed their own classic sound.
The band has played many notable festivals in the Canada area such as Taste of Edmonton, Taste of Calgary, Edmonton RockFest, Funtastic Fest Vernon, Together Again Music Fest, Extreme Mudfest and many more.
2025 is already proving to be a busy year with the band, as Sparrow Blue went on their first international tour.
The band is playing a local show at the Pure Yellowhead Casino on September 5th and will then head back out on the road in the U.S. for more shows to end the year.
Darrell spoke with Chad Plamondon about the U.S. tour, how excited the band is to play locally again, and what’s coming up for the group.
