Fort Saskatchewan neighborhood evacuated due to gas leak on Monday night

A gas leak, which was caused after an individual hit an underground pipe, displaced some Fort Saskatchewan residents on Monday night around 8.

The leak forced many residents around Hummingbird Crescent and Meadow View Drive to be temporarily evacuated.

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP were on the scene, as well as fire crews and medical personnel.

The evacuation notice was lifted shortly before 10:30pm.
