Ever wonder what would happen if the supporting cast had to run the Tony Awards themselves, with no lead actor, a looming storm, and a whole lot of chaos?
That’s the premise of And the Tony Award Goes To…, a high-energy, madcap jukebox musical from Edmonton Musical Theatre, featuring songs from Wicked, Moulin Rouge, A Chorus Line and more. Expect powerhouse musical numbers, slick choreography, and a heartfelt tribute to the folks who usually stand just outside the spotlight. Written by Martin Galba, this original script takes you behind the curtain as an ensemble cast scrambles to pull off Broadway’s biggest night… without a star. It’s big voices, big stakes, and even bigger laughs.
I got to talk to two of the show’s actors Emily Barnaschone and Malik Hinton and we had a lot of laughs!
