In April, the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) Internet Child Exploitation Unit launched an investigation into a Sherwood Park resident who was believed to be in possession of child pornography.
As a result of the investigation, on May 6, Strathcona County RCMP General Investigation Unit conducted a search warrant at a Sherwood Park address and a male was arrested.
Cory Anthony Fredrick, 45, a resident of Sherwood Park, has been charged with: Possessing Child Pornography and Possessing for the purpose of distributing Child Pornography
Fredrick was taken before a justice of the peace and released on several conditions with his next court appearance date set for May 28, 2025 in the Alberta Court of Justice in Sherwood Park.
