On May 2, 2025, at approximately 12 a.m., Strathcona County RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the southbound Anthony Henday by Baseline Road in Strathcona County.
The lone male occupant of the SUV, a 37-year-old resident of Edmonton, was confirmed deceased on scene.
As a result of the collision, a small grass fire started, but passersby were able to get it under control prior to police arrival. Strathcona County RCMP’s investigation into the collision is ongoing.
