Skydancer Indigenous Culture Centre 'Laughter is Medicine'
The Indigenous Culture Centre is gearing up for its upcoming ‘Laughter is Medicine’ event, a night dedicated to comedy, culture, and community. The event aims to celebrate Indigenous humor while bringing people together for an evening of laughter and healing. Featuring talented Indigenous comedians, the night promises to highlight the power of storytelling and comedy in fostering connection and well-being.
Hali Fitzpatrick, Executive Director of Skydancer Indigenous Culture Centre spoke with 89.3 The Raven on her excitement for the event, adding that it’s ok to laugh as it’s part of healing, with great food and entertaining comedians to make attendees walk away happy.
Fitzpatrick adds that if the demand is there for a return of the event, next year’s ‘Laughter is Medicine’ already has comedians interested in wanting a part in next year’s event.
