An inmate died at the Edmonton Remand Centre on December 19.
In a news release, Edmonton Police Service said they were called to a “sudden death” at around 8 p.m.
An autopsy has been scheduled and police are investigating the death.
A man is in custody in connection to that death and charges are pending.
