Edmonton’s outdoor rinks are about to get a major upgrade, thanks to the Fresh Nets Hockey Edition program spearheaded by Sport Edmonton. This initiative, in collaboration with partners like Hockey Edmonton, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, and the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues, is replacing worn-out hockey nets across more than 120 community league rinks in the city.
Reed Clarke, CEO of Sport Edmonton joined 89.3 the Raven to discuss how this program is bringing new life to grassroots hockey, fostering community spirit, and ensuring safe, high-quality spaces for Edmonton’s hockey enthusiasts to enjoy the game they love.
