One man is dead following an alleged homicide in Gift Lake over the weekend.
On August 23, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., High Prairie RCMP responded to a call of an unresponsive male in a vehicle.
Upon their arrival, the deceased male had injuries consistent with a gun shot wound.
RCMP have determined the victim to be 41-year-old Gift Lake Metis Settlement resident, Bradley Lamouche.
Mounties arrested and charged Gift Lake Metis Settlement resident Dakota Auger (27) with second-degree-murder.
Auger has been taken before a justice of the peace, his next court date is set for August 26, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Prairie.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton on August 26, 2024.
