Edmonton Police have closed a block in the Sakaw neighborhood in south Edmonton early Wednesday morning.
The cause of the presence is not yet known however residents have seen lots of police and an ambulance at the scene.
A portion of a duplex on 54 Street was also taped off and what appeared to be a bullet hole was visible on the side of a nearby electrical box.
EPS will provide more details when able.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) posted to social media on the platform X, citing that there was an officer involved shooting with more details to follow.
