Under a new three-year agreement, Strathcona County has begun providing weekday bus service between Sherwood Park and Fort Saskatchewan.
The new service, which started on July 2nd, supports the needs of commuters who travel between Sherwood Park, Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan. The weekday service will include four morning and four afternoon round trips during summer months, and four morning and seven afternoon round trips during the fall/winter months.
“We’re excited about the enhanced transit service,” said Lindsey Radford, Fort Saskatchewan Transit Supervisor. “The new Route 600 will provide enhanced connectivity and convenience, supporting our community’s transportation needs.”
The new route will travel between Bethel Transit Terminal and Dow Centennial Centre, improving resident access from both municipalities to local resources, services, businesses and amenities.
More information about the new service can be found at strathcona.ca/transit and goforttransit.ca.
