The Rotary Club of Grande Prairie is preparing for its annual door-to-door food bank collection in support of the Salvation Army Food Bank in Grande Prairie. This event will take place on September 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the communities of Grande Prairie, Clairmont, and Sexsmith.
Teams of 4 to 6 people are invited to participate. Each team will need to provide its own transportation and will be given collection boxes, bags, and signage for identification. Each route is expected to take about two hours to complete. Once your team finishes its route, you will return to the warehouse to unload the collected food and enjoy a complimentary barbecue.
If anyone is interested in donating items, volunteers will be accepting healthy, non-perishable foods, canned protein, canned fruits and vegetables, hearty soups, school snacks, unopened personal hygiene items, and baby supplies.
