Jacquie Daniels is a Cree-Metis outlaw artist, and 2024 Songwriter of the Year at the International Josie Awards in Nashville.
She has been named Female Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year at the North American Country Music Awards International, and is also known for her horn-driven groove, bluesy grit and Southern rock backbone.
Jacquie was recently named a recipient for the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund in December.
Her new song, Taxman, is all about the frustration many working people are feeling right now as costs are rising.
Brooklin spoke with Jacquie about the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund and her new song.
