The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) Homicide Section is continuing its investigation into the disappearance of 14-year-old Samuel Bird.
Homicide detectives confirm Samuel Bird is deceased and believe his death is criminal in nature.
On October 1st, over 100 supporters showed up at the EPS headquarters to hear about the updates on Samuel Bird.

Investigators have released new details on Samuel’s last known movements on June 1, 2025:
He was last seen on surveillance video at approximately 8:30 p.m. walking through the grounds of Holy Cross School near 151 Street and 104 Avenue.
Following this, he went to a friend’s residence in the area of 150 Street and 106 Avenue, where he was last definitively seen.
Police executed a search warrant at this residence in September 2025.
