Parkland RCMP have laid charges in connection with allegations of assault from staff on children at the Little Stars Daycare in Spruce Grove, with the investigation dating back to March.
As a result of the investigation, RCMP have charged 32-year-old Dimpy Bawa with two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault.
RCMP have also charged 29-year-old Shivani Shivani with 2 counts of assault.
RCMP said that both Bawa and Shivani were released from the daycare at the onset of the investigation. The daycare itself has been cooperative with investigators.
Both Bawa and Shivani has been released for court on Sept 17, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain.
