Fort Saskatchewan Minor Baseball has been awarded $3,000 through the City of Fort Saskatchewan’s Tourism Hosting Grant program to support the U11 AA Red Sox Provincial Championships, taking place July 25-27 at Turner Park.
The tournament will welcome top young athletes from across Alberta for three days of competitive ball. The community is invited to come out and cheer on the players while enjoying the amenities of Turner Park.
The City’s Tourism Hosting Grant provides funding to local organizations to help attract large-scale events and tournaments that bring visitors to Fort Saskatchewan, creating a positive economic and community impact. Non-profit organizations interested in hosting tourism-focused events are encouraged to apply.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the City’s support through the Tourism Grant,” said Jason Geiger, President of Fort Saskatchewan Minor Baseball. “This funding played a key role in helping us bring this tournament to life, and we’re proud to showcase our community to teams from across the province.”
