Edmonton Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Whitemud Drive Tuesday.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. a van was stopped on the shoulder of Whitemud Drive in the area of 111 Street. The 39-year-old male driver had exited the van to check it when a semi truck travelling eastbound struck him.
EMS and police responded to the collision; however, tragically, the male was declared deceased at the scene.
A four-year-old girl was in the van but was not physically injured. She was taken to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
