Spring and summer drop-in programs begin May 12 at the Ponoka Arena Complex with new programming such as dodge ball, flag football, touch rugby, and tots play time.
These programs are in addition to the return of volleyball, pickleball, lacrosse, basketball, badminton, soccer, and ball hockey.
“We are excited to offer more drop-in programming options this year, giving citizens more ways to stay active and enhance the quality of life in Ponoka,” said Sandra Lund, chief administrative officer for the Town of Ponoka.

Equipment will be available for use, however, individuals can also use their own equipment. All ages can also participate. Children under the age of eight will require direct supervision from a person 16 years of age or older.
To access the drop-in programming, citizens can purchase a single-use pass at the arena, a 20-visit punch pass for the arena, or a recreation pass which gives users access to all drop-in programming at the arena and the Ponoka Aquaplex (including swimming, water fitness classes and racquetball).
